A Japanese rock band formed in Kyoto. The band currently consists of Soshi Takashima (lead vocals, guitar), Suzuko Nakano (bass , backing vocals), and Tazawa Mamoru (guitar, backing vocals).

Soshi Takashima (Gt, Vo), captivated by the complexity of chords and melodies of acoustic guitars during his years at Ritsumeikan University, started playing the guitar and in just a month, began composing music.

A band “Hoi Hoi” was formed with Takeo Kanazawa (Dr).
April 2014 - Verandah was formed, following the disbandment of Hoi Hoi due to the other members departure.

May 2014 - Suzuko Nakano (Ba, Cho), a guitarist from a band they performed with, was impressed by Verandah’s music and joined as a bassist, becoming an official member in July 2015.

April 2016 - Mamoru Tazawa (Gt.), a junior of Kanazawa at Ritsumeikan was invited to be the 6th supporting guitarist.
His contribution grabbed the hearts of the members, keeping him in the band since then.

July 2016 - Nominated in the RO69JACK 2016 for ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL.

They relocated to Tokyo in 2019, when Tazawa officially joined the band.

June 2021 - Kanazawa left, finalizing the current lineup.

Verandah’s emotional chord progressions blend well with the delicate, harmonical vocals, complemented by the edgy guitar sound and serene bass play, which add depth to their approachable, evergreen music.

With Shotaro Wakamatsu (5kai) as the support drummer, their live performances, characterized by organic and dynamic energy, are one of their notable strengths.
