Hiroko Sebu

Hiroko Sebu is a Japanese composer and multi songwriter.

She moved to France to attend Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, studied film score composition and graduated as the top student. After that, she studied under the French Oscar winning composer Gabriel Yared.

She debuted with her 1st album “O uchi wa doko?” in 2008.
She has produced and played piano on tour for several in-demand Japanese artists and bands such as Mr. Children, Naotaro Moriyama, Kana Nishino or Sakanaction, in the biggest venues and arenas around Japan.

Discovering her talent for singing and her gift of creating infectious melodies, she participated as a composer and performer in the ISSEY MIYAKE show during Paris Fashion Week in 2018 and 2019, where her very own worldview, song and stunning performance has attracted the fashion industry’s attention.
She appeared as “Sebu Hiroko” in large-scale music festivals such as Fuji Rock Festival and Count Down Japan.

Hiroko has also proven her talent as a successful hit song maker and a composer, creating songs for more than two hundred TV ads of major Japanese brands (Uniqlo, Shiseido, SK-II, Nissan and more) and film and TV series scores (River’s Edge, Every Day A Good Day, Love At Least – first ending song she was responsible for).
Lately, she also participated to arrange the original music of the legendary Nobuo Uematsu on the video game Final Fantasy Vll Remake.
