Amiide

Born in Kobe, Japan, Amiide is a singer and songwriter currently based in Tokyo.
She grew up listening to 90’s 2000’s R&B and HipHop, such as Destiny’s Child, TLC, Aaliyah, Missy Elliott… etc. Her unique silky vocal is from her mother who is an opera singer in Japan. After high school, she moved to LA to study films.
When she moved back to Tokyo, she met her songwriting partner Jyodan. Amiide and Jyodan were a member of the multi-cultural HipHop group based both in Tokyo and LA. The group’s song “Fast Car” was featured on the Spotify’s “New Music Friday” playlist, and gained fans all over the world.
Her latest single “Better Miss Me” was featured on BBC 1Xtra in the UK.

Amiide is also a proud member of LGBTQ community, and is inspired by other artists such as Kehlani, Hayley Kiyoko, Zilo, and Nakala.
