evening cinema

evening cinema was formed in August 2015 by Natsuki Harada (vocal and composer) when he was in college.

Their sound reconstructs 80’s AOR / Light Funk / Electric Boogie ( which are combined under the term “City Pop” in Japan ) through the filter of 90’s J-Pop. It’s also a homage to the Japanese legend Yasuyuki Okamura whom they respect a lot.

In July 2016, they debuted with their first mini album “Almost Blue”.
They have since then grabbed the attention of big names of the music industry, like the artist Koichi Tsutaya who praised their talent.
From 2020, they will release their works under the Japanese label Ano(t)raks.
