Kenzo Martini

Kenzo has a central focus for his listeners—for them to have an escape through his musical consciousness. Having come from a monotonously norm-conforming environment, the rising singer/songwriter strives to inspire the world, especially the queer youth, to live freely and unapologetically through his songs. His lived experiences and the stories of other people around him are what fuels his writing. Through his tunes, Kenzo wants to give people comfort and good vibrations.

Hailing from Manila, Kenzo was raised in an environment where music was part of everyday life. His family introduced him to RnB and Pop music from the 80's and 90's which he found moving and diverse. He grew up singing gospel songs in church and joined musicals at school. In his late teens, Kenzo eventually moved to Tokyo to study. Having spent 5 years in the city, he found that Tokyo is the best place to find yourself and your artistic purpose. Here, Kenzo found a way to escape from reality through the magic of music. In 2018, he started to turn what were once just bedroom poems and scribbles into actual songs. At present, Kenzo continues to develop his sound and believes that his growth in music is endless.
