MIKAGE PROJECT was formed in December 2020.
They compose and arrange Minyo from various regions of Japan with a modern sensibility, and unite their thoughts to connect them to the next generation,
The unit has been active in pursuing the possibilities of Japanese traditional instruments.
Three young and influential musicians of shakuhachi, shamisen, and koto, who have attracted a great deal of attention in Japan.
In April 2021, they will release their first EP "MIKAGE PROJECT," which includes "Chikuko-bushi (Toyama Prefecture folk song)" and other songs.
In October 2023, MIKAGE PROJECT toured Thailand and Malaysia as their first overseas tour.
In June 2024, they will release their fourth EP, "蹈-TOU-".
