Ayumi Nakamura

Ayumi Nakamura is a solo project by Ayumi Nakamura, who is also a member of The Chimney Sweeper and POINT HOPE. The project is a blend of indie rock/folk/alternative/electro elements carefully woven into comfortable pop music.

This is his first solo release, and it features simple but memorable Japanese poetry and melodies, clean guitar phrasing reminiscent of 90's emo, flowing rhythms, and a nostalgic yet new soundscape with scattered synthesizers. This album was self-produced and self-recorded.

The band set features Kou Nakagawa on drums, who plays in many bands such as sans visage / Kudaranai Ichinichi, Hinako Sato from the soft rock band queguerie on bass, Kubo from the indie rock band Jan flu on guitar, and Nagashima, a multi-instrumentalist on keyboards.
