Yasei Collective

Effortlessly blending influences from pop, rock to jazz, Yasei Collective creates a modern electro pop sound that is both familiar yet truly unique. They are considered one of the most forefront instrumental bands and drawing attention from all over the world.

Formed in 2009 when Masanao Matsushita (Ds) and Michihiko Nakanishi (Ba,Synth) returned from the U.S. and were joined by Takuro Saito (Voc,Gt,Synth) first and Kazuhiro Bessho (Keys) a year later, the band has released 6 full albums and numerous other works so far.
Kazuhiro Bessho (Keys) left the band in 2018, the year of release of their latest album "stateSment", and Yasei Collective has continued as a trio since then.

Touring relentlessly in Japan, they have performed on the stages of the biggest rock and jazz music festivals, such as FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL where they have been invited twice. Yasei Collective has also invited and played with musicians of world-class reputation, like the Grammy-nominated drummer Mark Guilina at the infamous jazz club Blue Note Tokyo.
The members individually play, record and perform as guests for a large number of bands and projects.
